How To assign different ringtones to contacts on Xiaomi phone

i. Assigning a different ringtone for a contact On your phone, find and launch the Contacts app. Tap the contact you want to assign a different ringtone. Tap  to select a new ringtone.   ii. Assigning a different ringtone for a contact group When you assign a custom ringtone to a contact group, all the contacts in this group will have their ringtones changed automatically to the one you’ve assigned for the group. On your phone, find and launch the Contacts app. Find and tap My groups. Select a group. Tap the Group ringtone icon  to select a new ringtone.   Note: The steps here were written for MIUI V5, based on Android 4.2.2 on a Redmi (HM1W). If you’re having a different model of Redmi or other version of MIUI, there’s a possibility that the steps and screenshots will be different. source
