In Xiaomi announced that their products will now be sold in over 200 retail stores across the country.

“Mi fans in the Philippines have asked for more ways to purchase Mi products, and we’ve listened,” Steve Vickers, Xiaomi General Manager of Southeast Asia, said in an emailed statement.

Xiaomi previously only sold their products in the country through their online reseller Lazada Philippines.

The fast-growing Xiaomi claims to be the third largest smartphone manufacturer in the world next to Samsung and Apple.

Among the Xiaomi products that will be sold in stores is the Redmi 2 priced at P5,999, which has an 8-megapixel rear camera and a 2-megapixel front camera that supports 720p video recording on a 4.7-inch display.

Initial list of Xiaomi products available for retail purchase:

Redmi 2 – PHP 5,999
Mi Pad – PHP 10,999
16,000mAh Mi Power Bank – PHP 1,299
Mi In-Ear Headphones – PHP 849

Xiaomi products can be purchased at gadget retail stores MemoXpress, Silicon Valley, and PC Express, while more will be added gradually.

Retail buyers can visit Xioami’s eight service centers and will enjoy benefits such as chat support and a hotline service.

All Mi products will continue to be sold on Lazada for the same suggested retail prices.

“In addition to our main online sales channel, we’re excited to offer offline sales as an option,” Vickers said.

“Mi fans will also benefit from being able to try out our latest products at experience zones located in certain stores, before making a decision and buying them on the spot,” he said.
